How we keep every load, driver and road user safe

Safety is not a page on this site — it is how the company is run. This is what a broker or insurance underwriter will find when they look at Road Eye.

Drivers we vet

Every driver: 24 months of verified experience, MVR, PSP report, FMCSA Clearinghouse query, past-employer checks, DOT physical, drug screen and a road test with us before the first load.

Training that continues

Two-day orientation on load securement, tarping, pre-trip inspections and hours of service, then ongoing coaching from dispatch and the fleet manager, not a one-time video.

Equipment kept ready

2025–2027 Freightliner Cascadias and Reitnouer trailers on a scheduled preventive-maintenance program, with onboard scales and automatic tire inflation to keep every load legal and stable.

Rested, fit drivers

Assigned trucks with a full condo sleeper, APU and bunk heater, a planned 3 weeks out / 1 week home schedule, and dispatch that plans around hours of service.

Detroit Assurance on every Cascadia

Factory driver-assist on each truck: Active Brake Assist that warns and brakes for vehicles and pedestrians, adaptive cruise control down to a full stop, lane departure warning, Side Guard Assist for the blind spot, and automatic high beams and wipers.

Motive safety system

Motive ELD and AI dash cams in every truck. The system flags close following, distraction, hard braking and speeding in real time, and our safety team reviews events and coaches drivers. Clean records earn a safety bonus.

Our own software runs the operation

Road Eye and its holding company ENH Corp build and run their own private systems. Nothing about a load, a truck or a driver lives on paper or in someone's memory.

TMS and paperwork system

Every load is dispatched through our custom TMS. The rate confirmation reaches the driver's truck channel within seconds, along with a commercial-vehicle route and recommended fuel stops. The bill of lading, proof of delivery and load photos come back as PDFs into the load file. A manager dashboard shows any load with paperwork missing, so brokers get complete documents without chasing.

Fleet maintenance platform

A custom connection to the trucks' telematics feeds in live mileage, and every truck and trailer is on its own schedule: grease every 15,000 miles, oil every 30,000, annual inspection, tune-up at 100,000. Alerts go out ahead of time, repairs and invoices are kept per unit, and the fleet manager signs off every job. The system is designed to bring every truck to the maintenance facility every 15 days for an inspection and preventive maintenance. No truck leaves with a service overdue.

Driver portal

Each truck carries a company-managed tablet locked in kiosk mode, so only approved applications run on it, with no personal phone use behind the wheel. The driver portal shows the assigned truck and trailer, service history, a one-tap way to report a problem with photos or request service, fuel stops recommended along the route, and truck-safe navigation. The driver sees their equipment; dispatch and the fleet manager see the whole fleet.

Common questions

What do you require from a driver?

A valid Class A CDL, at least 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, no major violations, and passing a DOT physical, drug screen and our road test. Flatbed experience helps; we train securement and tarping either way.

What training do new drivers get?

A two-day paid orientation covering load securement, tarping, pre-trip inspections and hours of service, followed by ongoing coaching from dispatch, the fleet manager and the Motive safety system's event reviews. Drivers with a clean record earn a safety bonus.

How does home time work?

The typical schedule is 3 weeks out and 1 week home. Drivers give their dates ahead of time and dispatch plans the loads to get them home rested.

Is the truck assigned to one driver?

Yes. Every driver has their own Freightliner Cascadia with a 72-inch condo sleeper, and the same driver is responsible for its daily inspections. No slip-seating.

What freight do you haul, and where?

Flatbed and Conestoga freight in all 48 states, dispatched from Skokie, Illinois. Brokers and shippers can request a carrier packet and certificate of insurance by phone or email.
